Knezevic curls to BC Scotties title

Patti Knezevic of Prince George has won her first Scotties BC Women’s Curling Championship. Knezevic, along with 3rd Kristen Fewster, 2nd Jen Rusnell and lead Rhonda Camozzi, scored two in the extra end to beat Sarah Wark of Victoria 5-3 in the final to capture the Provincial title in Maple Ridge. Wark missed a chance for the win in the 10th end when she was heavy on a draw to the four foot and had to settle for one point instead of two. Knezevic won all five of her games, including three against Wark, to advance to the National Scotties Tournament of Hearts Feb 14-22 in Moose Jaw. Knezevic lost Provincial finals in 2005, 2007 and 2013. Both Knezevic and Camozzi shared the Kay Giles Sportsmanship Award.
