Emily Carr University moving into WIDC

The Wood Innovation and Design Centre downtown Prince George has secured its final tenants.

The Emily Carr University of Art and Design will begin offering programs out of the building in the fall of 2016. Emily Carr is currently in the consultation process determining exactly what courses they will be offering.

“The building is an amazing example of the use of wood and wood design.” David Bogen, Emily Carr Vice President Academic said “It provides us with a great centre for forming partnerships and working in collaboration with UNBC, CNC, business partners and others in Prince George.”

UNBC was announced last year as the buildings first tenant, Bogen says they are speaking closely with UNBC engineering program to build “an interface” between Carr’s design innovation and UNBC engineers.
