A pineapple express weather situation is coming through the region.
Environment Canada is tracking a stream of warm moisture coming from Hawaii and slamming into the BC Coast.
Meteorologist Lisa Coldwells says its moving at a fast rate.
“That is actually pushing through into the Interior and were getting the warm and the moisture conditions to push into even into the Cariboo.”
Coldwells says over the weekend the rain will begin to leave but the warm temperatures will stay.
She says the record was set in 1981 when temperatures were at 12.8 degrees.
