Road closures during Winter Games

There will be numerous road closures around Prince George during the Canada Winter Games.

The City is issuing this a reminder over the following streets and when their access will be blocked:

The following roadways will be closed to all public vehicular traffic:

Canada Games Way: Closed from February 6 to March 4, 2015.

Brunswick Street and 10th Avenue: Closed from February 8 to March 1, 2015.

Patricia Boulevard: Closed from February 8 to March 1, 2015.

Emergency vehicles will have access to closed roadways.

The following streets will have “No Parking, Bus Only” parking restrictions from February 9 to March 2, 2015:

 Dominion Street: 6th Avenue to Patricia Boulevard. West side.

7th Avenue: Canada Games Way to Dominion Street, Both sidesand Victoria Street to Brunswick Street. North side.

Quebec Street: 6th Avenue to 7th Avenue. East side

6th Avenue: Quebec Street to Dominion Street. South side.

George Street: 4th Avenue to 5th Avenue. Both sides

9th Avenue: Victoria Street to Brunswick Street. East side.

5th Avenue: George Street to rear lane. North side.

The city says signage will be installed to provide parking for athlete buses and motor coaches, though transit stops will remain in place.
