Final thoughts from Games organizers

It’s a bit of an emotional day for the city as we close out the 2015 Canada Winter Games.
Sunday’s closing press conference saw many reflections on the past two weeks and the past five years from those involved in getting the games ready.
Host Society Chair Anthony Everett says it will take some time to process what’s happened in the past two weeks.
“But having said that, you have to start with the athletes, because for us it was all about the athletes,” says Everett, “to see some of those athletic performances, the pictures, the people, the athletes competiting, winning and losing and the crowds cheering them on.”
Everett says these games are something he wants his four month old daughter to know.
“She was born here, and this community…it’s a great community, and she should be very proud of where she’s from.”
Everett also says at last look, ticket sales for the games were up 30% than expected, but full details on that will be released next month.
