This weekends Prince George Cougars game will be a “one to watch” event.
Saturdays game will feature the largest 50/50 draw in Cougars team history, with the organization starting the pot off with a $25,000 donation – providing each adult at the game with a free 50/50 ticket.
Cougars VP of Business Andy Beesley says it will be a great opportunity for everyone at the rink, and for a local charity:
“So its a win win for everybody, its a win for the ALS fund but its also a win for fans who are going to have a chance to walk out with a big fat wallet full of cash”
Beesley says all proceeds for the 50/50 will be going towards the Shelley Mrkonjic ALS research fund. In honour of forward Tyler Mrkonjic’s late mother.
The Vancouver Canucks green men will also be attending Saturdays game, making for a rather large playoff implicating affair near the end of the regular season.
