Dale Marquette passes away

Former Prince George Spruce Kings and PG Cougars head coach Dale Marquette passed away on the weekend. He turned 47 on March 8th. “Due to complications with his diabetes he slipped into a coma and passed away,” said Marquette’s former wife Lisa Norman. Marquette was born in Prince George and played his minor hockey in the city. He was selected by Chicago Blackhawks in the 10th round of the 1987 NHL Entry Draft. Marquette coached the Spruce Kings in the RMJHL from 1993-95, the PG Cougars in the 95-96 season and the Quesnel Millionaires of the BCHL in the 2000-01 season.
