Prince George residents took part in the global event March Against Monsanto Saturday.
A crowd gathered outside the Prince George Playhouse to protest the use of genetically modified foods.
Organizer Karm Jeet Manhas says as more information about GMOs is made, changes are being made.
“Locally, Superstore since the first march now has an organic aisle locally in Prince George,” says Manhas, “in Costco they have organic coffee, and they have organic berries, they have organic options for everything now.”

Manhas says this is the fourth time the March Against Monsanto has been held.
He says they are asking for more testing on GMO foods to be done, so people know what the risks are.
