The Westwood Pub Devils continued their domination in Prince George Senior Lacrosse by crushing the Northland/Nissan Assault 17-4. Steven Clayton scored five goals for the Devils who did not lose last year and are 7-0 this season. Westwood Pub has outscored its opposition 119-26.
–The second and third place teams square off tonight (Thursday) at 8 in PG Senior Lacrosse. The 5-1 BX Pub Bandits face the 3-3 Quesnel Crossfire at Kin 1.
–The Kelowna Rockets advanced to the Memorial Cup semi-final Friday after the Rimouski Oceanic blanked the host Quebec Remparts 4-0 in the last game of the round robin.
Kelowna, Rimouski and Quebec all finished round robin play 1-2 but the Rockets advanced to the semi-final because they had the best goal percentage.
Rimouski and Quebec meet again in a tie-breaker tonight. The 3-0 Oshawa Generals have a berth in Sunday’s final.
