81 new child care spaces will be coming to Prince George soon.
The BC government has announced an investment of $500,000 at the Lac de Bois Family Development Centre at the French Immersion Elementary in Prince George.
All of these spaces will be directed to infants and toddlers.
The spaces will be run by the YMCA and CEO Amanda Alexander says they have to put their own capital investment in.

“And then on top of that be able to provide all that needs to go into the centre,” says Alexander, “like cribs, things that aren’t always considered capital and then from that we have to be self sufficient in our child care program financially.”
Alexander says the spaces should be ready by March 2016.
