The 2015-16 Canada West basketball schedule is out. The UNBC Timberwolves begin their men’s and women’s season November 6th and 7th at the Northern Sport Centre when they host Thompson Rivers University of Kamloops. Game times are 6 and 8 p.m. on Fridays and 5 and 7 p.m. on Saturdays.

Both UNBC teams play 20 regular season games, 10 home and 10 on the road.

The Timberwolves have eight games in November, six in January and six in February. They conclude Feb 19th and 20th at MacEwan University in Edmonton.

–The BX Pub Bandits exploded with 8 goals in the 2nd period to crush the Quesnel Crossfire 14-2 in the opener of their Prince George Senior Lacrosse semi-final series. Drew Doig racked up nine points (including three goals) while Dan Martin notched four goals and added an assist. Game two in the best of five will be played Monday in Quesnel.

The other PG Senior Lacrosse semi opens this evening (Tuesday) at 8 at Kin 1. The Westwood Pub Devils, winners of their last 36 games, including 12 this year, face the 4th place Northland/Nissan Assault.

–23 teams have registered for the Canada Day Fastpitch tournament at the Spruce City Stadium. Play begins on Friday.
