Prince George’s Pride festival is taking place through next week.
President Valentine Crawford says support from the community has grown tremendously over the years, and mentioned sponsorship and business interest has increased tenfold:
“The parade route was changed because businesses in the Downtown approached us and said look, we are kind of sad that the parade did not go by our business. So we worked with the city to bring the parade in and around Downtown”
Crawford says they are expecting more than a thousand
people to show up for the festivities, and says registration has already doubled last year.
Pride will run from July 6th through the 12th with the Parade taking place on July 11th.
