Former Prince George Cougars forward Brett Connolly has signed a one-year contract with the Boston Bruins worth
$1,025,000. The 23-year-old Connolly has 34 points (including 18 goals) in 139 career games for Tampa Bay and Boston. Connolly was acquired by the Bruins from the Lightning on March 2nd for a pair of second round picks.

–Dan Lambert has stepped down as head coach of the WHL champion Kelowna Rockets. Lambert has signed a contract to become an assistant coach with the Buffalo Sabres under Dan Bylsma.

–The BX Pub Bandits crushed the Crossfire 11-3 in Quesnel to take a 2-0 lead in the best of five Prince George Senior Lacrosse semi-final. Brett Doig scored four goals and added an assist in a game which featured 95 penalty minutes (57 to BX). The Bandits go for a sweep when they host game three Wednesday night at 8 at Kin 1.

–PG Senior Lacrosse playoff action tonight (Tuesday) at 8 at Kin 1 has the Westwood Pub Devils against the Northland/Nissan Assault. The Devils won the opener 18-1.
