Northern Health’s Bus Connections program taking two week hiatus

Northern Health’s connections bus service won’t be running it’s regular routes from August 9th to the 22nd.

Patient Transportation Coordinator, Maureen Haley says the number of people using the service drops off during this time.

“We have noticed during the month of August we have a really reduced rider-ship during this period.”

Haley adds one major route will affect residents in Prince George.

“In terms of Prince George most of the connections are going down to Vancouver so the last day the service will run before the summer break is August 6th and the first day back will be on the 23rd.”

The break will be used to do some work on the buses and to give some additional vacation time to the drivers.

Anyone who has booked appointments during the two week break will need to make alternative arrangements.
