Provincials take over the spotlight in high school sports

Several Prince George teams have qualified for the Provincial high school volleyball championships the first week of December.

Duchess Park is ranked 1st and College Heights second at the girls AAA in Vernon. Duchess beat College Heights 3-1 in the zone final at CNC.

College Heights is seeded 5th and DP Todd 10th at the 16 team boys AA in Langley. College Heights downed host DP Todd 3-0 in the zone final. PGSS is 20th at the boys AAA also in Langley.

DP Todd represents the North Central zone at the girls AA in Kelowna. DP Todd advanced after a 3-0 victory over Nechako Valley in the zone final.

–Duchess Park finished round robin play 1-1-1 and third in its four team pool at the Provincial boys AA soccer championship in Burnaby. Duchess lost 2-0 to Alpha before posting a 3-1 win over RA McMath
and a 2-2 tie against Mark Isfeld in the 16-team tournament.
