Spirit of the North CEO completes prestigious program

Spirit of the North CEO Judy Neiser is on her way back to Prince George after a week long scholarship at the Richard Ivey School of Business in London Ontario.

Neiser was one of 45 non-profit leaders from across Canada nominated for the prestigious “Community Shift” program.

“It’s like cramming a masters into a half an hour course. It’s 16-20 hour days, and the networking that goes with it. There was so much, it will take some time to pause and reflect.”

Neiser called the scholarship “life and career changing” and says she is looking forward to using what she learned to grow Spirit of the North.

“We are not a young organization, it’s 25 years old, but at the same time there is always opportunities for renewal, change and growth. I think we owe it to our donors to do these kinds of exercises and make sure we are giving good value for their hard earned money.”

She added that she had plenty to share with the other leaders, given the scale and area the Foundation services.
