‘Celebrate Prince George’ kicks off today

Prince George is getting set to celebrate the one year anniversary of the Canada Winter Games.

Civic Events coordinator Jen Tkachuk says they will be trying to recreate the magic of the the Games with more than 100 events in 10 days.

“We saw what happens when you put events together in a combined time frame like we did during those 18 days of the games. It really made a festival atmosphere, so the City and Tourism Prince George was really keen on keeping that energy going.”

The series of events will build up to the February 13th Plaza Party at Canada Games Plaza with live music and fireworks.
