A unique crowd-funding event that will help launch a local business in Prince George takes place next month.
It is being hosted by the Community Futures of Fraser-Fort George at the Coast Inn of the North on March 16th.
Business Services Coordinator, Christine Kinnie says anyone in attendance can expect a different experience.
“It will be an evening of live crowd-funding where audience members pay a ticket price of $50 dollars and the entrance fee will go to the winner of the business pitch and the winner is done in a style of Pechakucha.”
And what is Pechakucha?
“It’s 20 images shown for 20 seconds each so it is very precise and there will be six presenters who have been pre-screened by Community Futures who have already been pre-approved for a loan.” Kinnie says
The winner will take home $5000 to launch their idea plus the audience ticket sales.
Everyone in attendance will also cast a ballot for their favourite idea.
