City of Prince George continues to seek feedback on Parks Strategy

You’ve got a few more chances to give the City your feedback on its park strategy in person.

There’s a public meeting tonight from 6-8pm at Blackburn Community Hall. A second one is happening tomorrow at Cpl. Darren Fitzpatrick Bravery Park from 6-8pm and on May 10, City officials will be onsite at Ginter’s Meadow from 1-7pm.

The City is seeking ideas for repurposing Heather Park in the Hart. Crews will begin dismantling the little-used park’s fences and buildings this week.

If you’ve got ideas, be sure to check out one of the public meetings or use the City’s app for Park Strategy feedback.

The City is also looking for input on its plan to pave a 1km section of trail through Ginter’s Meadow. When finished, the trail through the meadow will complete a fully accessible Foothills Trail link from 18th to Ferry Avenue.

Feedback on the City’s Park Strategy is being accepted until June 3.

On another note, Connaught Hill Park is now open to vehicle traffic between 8:00 am and 9:00 pm from now through August. The Park will be accessible to vehicles from 8 am until 7:30 pm from September through October.
