The West Kelowna Warriors have advanced to the 1st/2nd game at the Western Canada Cup junior A hockey championship in Estevan, Saskatchewan.
West Kelowna finished 3-1 in the round robin following a 4-1 victory over the Melfort Mustangs.
The Warriors will play the Brooks Bandits on Saturday with the winner to advance to the RBC Cup national championship tournament, May 14-22 in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan.
The loser will play on Sunday for the second berth against the winner of the 3rd/4th place game between the Portage Terriers and Melfort.
Former Cariboo Cougars, Liam Blackburn and Jake LeBrun, both of Prince George, are among the forwards with West Kelowna. Neither picked up a point in the round robin. Ex PG Cougars defenceman Kirk Bear plays with Melfort.
Blackburn has committed to a full-ride scholarship to attend the NCAA Division 1 University of New Hampshire in the fall.
