CFUR is holding its first ever youth radio camp this summer.
Over two weeks, campers will learn how to create effects, conduct interviews, and host their own shows. It’ll all be capped off with a live show on the university station airwaves.
Spokesperson Ian Gregg says this could help create the next generation of broadcasters.
“A lot of people aren’t familiar with radio anymore but it’s coming back in a big way. The more young people who get involved with it, the better the content is going to be within the community and we’re going to have informed citizen and kids who know how to make all this engaging programming,” he says.
