PG Council approves renaming Civic Centre

The Prince George Civic Centre will soon have a new name.

Council quickly approved a renaming request to feature the word “conference” in it.

The Civic Centre hopes the one word can better clarify what goes on at the facility and help with online searches.

Staff adds that the name change won’t cost much as most of the Centre’s marketing assets are digital. The biggest cost will be to the building’s sign.
