Roman Vopat has found a new job.
The 40-year-old has joined the Kootenay Ice coaching staff as an assistant.
He will work under head coach Luke Pierce (33) and alongside assistant coach Gordon Burnett (35).
Vopat spent two years as an assistant with the Prince George Cougars but he did not have his contract renewed following the 2015-16 season.
Vopat played 16 seasons of professional hockey including 133 NHL games with the St. Louis Blues, Los Angeles Kings, Chicago Blackhawks and Philadelphia Flyers.
