Five statutory holidays in Prince George will now have transit service.
Labour Day, Thanksgiving, Remembrance Day, Boxing Day, and Family Dan will run on a Sunday schedule.
The additional routes fill a major void according to Drew Snider with BC Transit.
“That was identified as a very important priority for people in Prince George to develop the future transit plan in the city, having bus service on statutory holidays is not just a priority for regular users but also for the city’s Student Needs Committee.”

The holiday service will begin on September 4th.
Buses will run on all statutory holidays in 2017-18.
