The Prince George Spruce Kings continue to solidify their back end by acquiring 19-year old defenceman Mark O’Shaughnessy from the Truro Bearcats of the Maritime Junior Hockey League.
He was recently dealt by the Merritt Centennials but chose not to report to the Maritimes and requested a trade back to BC.
O’Shaughnessy played 49 games last season tallying 3 goals and 11 assists for Merritt.
He potted 4 points in 7 games this season before getting traded.
O’Shaughnessy will join the Spruce Kings in time for Sunday’s home game against Powell River at 3PM.
