The initial hearing for Mining Watch Canada’s charges against the BC Government and Mount Polley Mining Corporation will get Friday morning in Williams Lake.
The mining watch dog says that they will demonstrate there is enough evidence from the 2014 tailings pond breach to warrant charges under the Canadian Fisheries Act.
Mining Watch Canada had filed the private prosecution in October 2016.
The hearing begins at 9:30.
