Trade and investment are the focus behind Initiatives Prince George’s trip to India this week. The economic development corporation is heading to New Delhi for an annual conference on renewable energy. CEO Heather Oland says they are travelling with representatives from the province and Canada.
“That way we can leverage both the brand of BC and the brand of Canada,” says Oland, “which are very well known in the global markets, so the emerging economies of Korea, China, and India are where the governments of BC and Canada are focusing.”
Oland says IPG will be promoting the local forestry and bio-energy sectors while at the trade show. She says they will also be meeting with industry and government while in India.
