The axe falls on the Lumberjacks in PG Senior Lacrosse

The Co-op Petroleum Stylers clinched a playoff spot in Prince George Senior Lacrosse following a doubleheader sweep of the Lumberjacks in Mackenzie.

The Stylers won 10-9 Saturday and 11-3 Sunday to improve their 4th place record to 6-7 with two regular season games left.

The 5th place Lumberjacks are out of playoff contention at 4-10.

In the opener, Co-op Petroleum erased a 7-4 deficit by outscoring the hosts 6-2 in the 3rd period.

On Sunday, Matt Rochon dominated the game with eight goals and one assist.

UPDATE:

The first place RPR Mechanical/BX Pub Bandits beat the last place Northland Nissan Assault 11-8 Monday night.

The next game is scheduled for Wednesday night at 8 at Kin 1 featuring the Westwood Pub Devils and the Stylers.
