One person is dead following a fatal collision on Highway 16 East near Purden Lake.
The North District RCMP responded to the collision just after 4 o’clock Sunday afternoon.
According to police, a five-ton truck was westbound when it slowly drove off the roadway and overturned on an embankment.
The passenger in the vehicle sustained severe head trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police do not believe alcohol and speed were factors in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
