Police in Quesnel is searching for a 32-year old man believed to have fallen into the Quesnel River.
The RCMP responded to the incident just before 2 am on Saturday morning.
Police say Paul was walking with friends along the train bridge where he later fell.
Search and Rescue was notified and an RCMP helicopter was called in to assist but initial efforts have come up empty.
Search efforts were hampered today due to the condition of the river.
The rapidly moving water has prevented rescue teams from going into the river.
A ground search stopped along the riverbank due to dangerously high water levels.
