Confidence vote expected in BC Legislature

There could be a new BC government if a confidence vote defeats the Liberal’s Thursday afternoon in the Legislature.

NDP Leader John Horgan introduced an amendment motion to the throne speech today according to Stikine MLA Doug Donaldson.

He says for the past seven weeks he’s been chomping at the bits.

“This delay and distract tactic from Christy Clark and the BC Liberals has not been good for Stikine and for people across the province.”

“The majority of voters voted for change – and this past week has been bordering on the bizarre here in the legislature because they know that this vote is coming and the BC Liberals know that they will be defeated.”

Donaldson says they need a majority of the Greens and NDP members to defeat the Liberal Government.

We’ll have more information after tomorrow’s vote.
