Crews continue fight against aggressive fires

Saturday was another busy day for the BC Wildfire Service with 96 confirmed fires, and more than 220 in total.

In the Cariboo Fire Centre, there are seven wildfires of note which are highly visible, or pose a potential threat to public safety.

As of 9PM Saturday night …

  • 150 Mile fire = 2,500 hectares
  • Dragon Mountain Fire = 1,500 hectares
  • Gustafson Fire (west of 100 Mile House) = 3,200 hectares

All of the fires as of that time were 0% contained.

Additional resources from across Canada were en route as personnel and resources continue to work to keep the province safe.
