Prince George surpasses 9,000 registered evacuees

The number of registered evacuees in Prince George has cracked 9,000.

Canada Post has put contingency measures in place to serve those displaced by the fires.

The City’s Free Fare for Clean Air Program is also in effect.

Residents and evacuees can ride the bus for free until the advisory is over.

The program will remain in effect until midnight on Friday.
