Womans broken leg leads to airlift off Tabor mountain

The Prince George Search and Rescue were kept busy on Sunday, as a woman needed to be rescued off Tabor mountain.

At around 12:45 pm the team was assembled to assist with the evacuation of the 51 year old, who had slipped while hiking with a group. Searchers were able to reach the woman and evacuated her with the assistance of a helicopter.

The PGSAR wants to remind everyone to carry survival and emergency equipment and to always leave a trip plan, even if its just a daily hike.
