Charges laid following armed robbery in Prince George

The BC Prosecution Service has approved charges in relation to a hold-up of a Prince George business on Wednesday.

The RCMP got the call just after 8 a.m. at the intersection of 20th Avenue and Vine Street.

Officers attended the scene where they believe a man entered the business with a weapon and demanded cash before fleeing on a bike.

Police then located a 23-year-old local man that’s believed to be responsible for the incident.

The arrest was made at a mall parking lot at the intersection 15th Avenue and Victoria Street.

The BC Prosecution Service has approved the following Criminal Code charges against the 23-year-old male:

  • Robbery
  • Attempted fraud under $5000
  • Fail to comply with probation
  • Fail to comply with undertaking

The individual has been remanded in custody at least until his next court appearance scheduled for June 5th, 2019.
