NBA:

Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson is listed as questionable and will be a game-time decision for Game 3 of the NBA finals against the Toronto Raptors tonight (Wednesday 6:00)
in Oakland.

Thompson is dealing with a mild strain in his left hamstring that forced him to miss the last eight minutes of Game 2.

Warriors backup big man Kevon Looney is out for the season with cartilage fracture in his collarbone area.

Golden State will again be without Kevin Durant, who will miss his 8th straight game with a strained right calf.

There are reports that former PG Cougars defenceman Zdeno Chara suffered a broken jaw in Boston’s 4-2 loss Monday in St. Louis.

The Bruins have not said whether their 42-year-old captain will be able to play in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup final Thursday in Boston.

The series is tied 2-2.

WHL:

The Spokane Chiefs have joined the Prince George Cougars and Kamloops Blazers as WHL teams searching for a head coach.

Dan Lambert, the Chiefs head coach for the last two years, is leaving Spokane to become an assistant coach with the Nashville Predators.

PG COUGARS:

Taylor Gauthier (’01) and Tyler Brennan (’03) of the Prince George Cougars are in Calgary
for Hockey Canada’s Program of Excellence goaltending camp that runs from today until Saturday.

Gauthier is one of 10 goalies (four from the WHL) invited at the under-20 level.

Signed prospect Tyler Brennan is one of 12 netminders (three from the WHL) invited at the under-17 level.

FRENCH OPEN:
Roger Federer will play 11-time champ Rafael Nadal in the men’s semifinals on Friday at the French Open.
The 37-year-old Federer beat countryman #24 Stan Wawrinka in four sets in the quarterfinals while Nadal advanced with a straight-sets victory over #7 Kei Nishikori.

Nadal is 5-0 against Federer at Roland Garros.

Top-seeded Novak Djokovic is the first man to reach the French Open quarterfinals 10 years in a row.

Djokovic faces #5 Alexander Zverev today with the winner to advance to the semis.


MLB:

The Blue Jays snapped a six-game losing streak with just their second win in the last 12 games.

The Jays are 22-38 after 60 games while the 38-21 Yanks lead the AL East by 2.5 games over the Tampa Bay Rays.
