Roads, paving, and potholes were on the docket once again for Prince George city council.
Monday night, council heard a detailed report on road rehabilitation efforts over the past year, and granted a one-year contract to
Pittman Asphalt” for concrete paving at a cost of $6.1 million.
Councilor Lyn Hall admits, he’s frustrated at constantly talking about PG’s roads.
Staff says 19 kilometers were worked on last year, though it was noted that at that pace, it would take 30 years to pave all of PG’s roads, if only paving each road once.
Councilor Brian Skakun stated he was embarrassed at how some of the roads have held up, saying Ospika Boulevard is “toast” and “won’t last two years”.
