Foot chase ensues after stolen Ford collides with two vehicles in PG

At least one stolen Ford truck was found today.

Just after 5:00 am this morning, the Prince George RCMP received a report of a stolen Ford F-250 truck from a residence on Nation Crescent.

An officer observed a similar vehicle near 5th Avenue on Highway 97, but it was gone by the time they were able to turn around.

Just moments later, RCMP received multiple reports of a dangerous driver in a white Ford F-series truck that had collided with another vehicle near the Simon Fraser Bridge. The Ford crossed the bridge and hit another truck near the entrance to the BCR Industrial site, where the suspect driver and a passenger exited the now damaged truck.

One of the men tried to take an occupied vehicle but were unsuccessful and the two fled on foot in different directions.

A brief chase ensued and both men, a 31 and an 18-year-old, were arrested and taken into custody.

According to police, the entire incident lasted about 10 minutes.

Just this morning, the RCMP sent a release notifying the public that seven vehicle thefts involving Fords have taken place across the city over a two week period. Two of the thefts occurred at the BCR Industrial site while two other incidents saw the stolen trucks recovered in the Dome Creek area near McBride.
