The defending champion Knights continue the five-team round-robin against the Altona (Manitoba) Bisons (today 8:00 am PT), the host Strathmore Reds (today 1:30 PM) and the Leduc (Alberta) Giants (Sunday 8:00 AM).

The top two teams play in the gold-medal game (Sunday 4:45 PM).

MLB:

Toronto Blue Jays  7  Seattle Mariners  3

Randal Grichuk and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit back-to-back homers to set a new franchise record, and the Toronto Blue Jays opened a three-game series against the Seattle Mariners.

For the 12th time this season, Toronto has hit home runs in consecutive at-bats — and the third time this week. The record of 11, which they tied on Tuesday against Texas, was set back in 1999.

The Blue Jays are 5-3 on a 10-game homestand.

Toronto and Seattle will be back in action at the Rogers Centre today at 12:07 p.m. PST.

CFL:

Edmonton Eskimos  41  Toronto Argonauts  26

Quarterback Trevor Harris passed for three touchdowns and rushed for two more as the Edmonton Eskimos (6-3) handed the Toronto Argonauts (1-7) their seventh loss of the season.

A pair of CFL games today (Saturday) will conclude week 10: Hamilton at Ottawa (1:00 PT) followed by Montreal at Calgary (4:00).

The (1-8) BC Lions, who have lost their last five, return to action on Saturday, Aug, 24th when they host Hamilton.
