Finishing 2-2 in the round-robin of the tournament, the Surg Med Knights will not repeat as Western Canadian champions.

The top two teams, Altona and Leduc, play in the gold-medal game (today 4:45 p.m.).

Little League Baseball World Series:

A weather delay halted the game for over an hour in the top of the second inning. When play resumed, the (1-1) Canadians were ready — exploding with a five-run second that began with Tai Freeman scoring from third on a wild Italian pitch.

Canada put up another five runs in the fourth inning, leading to the mercy rule.

Kyle Seager smacked a deciding home run off of the right foul pole in the eighth inning to give the Seattle Mariners the victory over the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday.

The Blue Jays (52-74) are 5-4 on a 10-game homestand.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats earned their fourth win in its last five outings.

Hamilton (7-2) sits comfortably atop the East Division standings and shares the best record in the CFL with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at the halfway point of the season.

Montreal Alouettes  40  Calgary Stampeders  34  (OT)

Quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. ran for a pair of one-yard touchdowns in overtime to lift the Als over the Stamps, concluding Week 10 of the CFL schedule.

The (1-8) BC Lions, who have lost their last five, return to action on Saturday, Aug, 24th when they host Hamilton.
