The UNBC Timberwolves continues to stockpile young talent ahead of its upcoming Canada West Men’s Soccer Season.
They have committed Noah Ballinger to the fold for the 2019-20 season.
The six-foot midfielder entertained offers from other parts of Canada along with the United States but ultimately decided to head to UNBC.
“The admissions teams and anyone I have worked with from the school, I felt they cared about me and had my best interests at heart. It made everything to do with school a lot easier. That just helped make the decision. As well as soccer, of course. I am super excited about that,” said Ballinger.
Ballinger graduated from Glenlyon Norfolk School and is a product of the Vancouver Island Wave program.
“I am very happy to have Noah join our program. He tends to fly under the radar a bit, due to his simple but effective playing style, but he is an incredibly intelligent young midfielder. I really believe he is a perfect fit for us as we transition into the next phase of our program. I can’t wait to see what the future looks like for him with us,” said Steve Simonson, UNBC Head Coach in a news release.
The Timberwolves kick off the season this weekend on the road against the UBCO Heat.
