Cougars partner up with local groups for “Habit Hack Challenge”

The Prince George Cougars are joining forces with KidSport and Hell Yeah Prince George to launch the “Habit Hack Challenge.”

The purpose of the program is to get 200 local kids into organized sports, the effort then concludes after Kidsport reaches its fundraising goal of $30,000.

Cougars Vice-President of Business Andy Beesley spoke with MyPGNow.com.

“It’s something we just so passionately believe in, we’ve got some personal examples without naming names, one or two people on our team where quite honestly sports has given them a life they probably wouldn’t have had without it.”

“We feel passionate about representing that end of the sport but also the grassroots end where playing sports might not be about winning games or being competitive and travelling all over, it might just be about getting off the couch.”

The challenge begins on Sunday and the Cougars will donate $20 each day over the next 25 days to Kidsport after a picture with the “Focus on the Awesome” sign is posted.

In addition, Northland Dodge and Rivers Edge Services will then match another $20 each day during that span.
