The Prince George Cougars are set to drop the puck on another season but the team’s roster is still taking shape.
The WHL club announced today (Friday), they have signed 17-year-old forward Davin Griffin to a player agreement.
He was acquired from the Prince Albert Raiders for a conditional draft pick earlier this month.
Griffin spent the last two seasons with the Saskatoon Contacts of the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League where he recorded 46 points in 2018-19.
To make room for him, the Cougars re-assigned 16-year-old forward Fischer O’Brien to the Cariboo Cougars.
In addition, 17-year-old defenceman Ethan McColm has been sent down to the Junior A ranks where he will suit up for the Waywayseecappo Wolverines of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.
The Cougars roster now sits at 24 players, which includes two goaltenders, eight defencemen and fourteen forwards.
