He’s looking a little mangy, but he’s been returned.

Chance, the mascot for the Prince George Humane Society, was stolen from them and had been missing for 10 days when the RCMP apprehended a person wearing the suit.

Terri Lube, spokesperson for the society says they’re happy the husky has made his way back to them.

“We never thought we’d see him again. I can’t thank the public and the RCMP enough for retrieving them.”

Corporal Sonja Blom with the Prince George RCMP said they knew about the missing mascot because of so many people sharing and talking about it on social media.

“One of our frontline officers saw somebody wearing it yesterday and recovering the mascot costume and a female was arrested at that time. She has been released pending further investigation.”

Lube said the first order of business is to give the dog a bath.
