National Seniors Day across Canada will include free bus rides for Prince George’s elderly population tomorrow (Tuesday).
BC Transit Spokesperson, Jonathan Dyck told MyPGNow.com the free rides are for anyone 65 years of age or older.
“Free transit will be available for seniors all day throughout the Prince George Transit System and service handy dart will also be free for seniors that are registered on October 1st as well.”
“This is an initiative that the City of Prince George has done in previous years and is something that’s important in recognizing the different modes of transportation that people can utilize.”
Dyck adds this recognizes the important role seniors play in our country and province.
