Recognizing the important role businesses play in Prince George is the focus of the 34th Annual Business Excellence Awards hosted by the Chamber of Commerce.
It takes place tomorrow night (Friday) from the PG Playhouse where forty-eight finalists have been announced including Business of the Year nominees Birch and Boar Charcuterie and Provisions, Westcana Electric, Primus Electric, and MNP.
CEO, Todd Corrigall told MyPGNow.com it’s a big night for everyone.
“This is the one thing the chamber does every year that’s open to every business in the community, not just chamber members so it’s a holistic look at all the businesses that have opened, sustained, grown and changed throughout the year.”
He adds they took some feedback from last year and turned that into a record number of nominations.
“What we heard last year is that there were some new opportunities to enhance the awards by focusing on some key verticles so we have done that and this year we ended up with over 340 nominations, which was the highest in history.”
