“Hope springs eternal” Cullen on O’Toole appointment

The MP for Skeena-Bulkley Valley says he’s hopeful that the new Veterans Affairs Minister can turn things around.
Nathan Cullen says hope does spring eternal when it comes to Minister Erin O’Toole being able to improve the lives of Veterans.
However Cullen says  this comes as the Prime Minister is putting more Canadians on the front line.
“Now in Iraq, they are engaging in firefights,” says Cullen, “creating more veterans that are coming home, and they can’t come home expecting the government as its currently put together is going to be any help to them when they have needs further down.”
Cullen says the Conservatives have done an abysmal job of supporting troops.
He relates this back to the closure of Veterans Affairs offices across Canada, one of which was in Prince George.
