Tri-City Americans 5 Prince George Cougars 2
Taylor Gauthier had a tough outing in the Cougars second visit to Tri-City, allowing three goals on 13 shots he faced before leaving the game with a lower-body injury. 16-year-old Tyler Brennan came in to replace, stopping 10 of 12 shots he faced.
The Cougars outshot the Americans 41-25 before 3,051 at the Toyota Center in Kennewick, Washington.
The (3-9-0-1) Cougars will look to snap their four-game losing streak when they visit the (7-8) Vancouver Giants this afternoon (4:00 p.m.) in Langley.
Prince George is sitting last in the Western Conference, four points behind the (5-5-1) Victoria Royals and (4-5-2-1) Seattle Thunderbirds.
The Royals slipped ahead of Seattle for the last playoff position with a win on Saturday.

Chong Min Lee came up with two helpers, earning himself 1st-star honours as the Spruce Kings came out of the tilt with two points.
Jett Alexander stopped 37 of the 38 shots he faced, earning himself 2nd-star honours.
The (6-8-2-1) Prince George Spruce Kings visit the (10-7-1-1) Cowichan Valley Capitals this afternoon.
Puck drop is scheduled to go at 2:00 p.m. PT.
Prince George is 4th in the Mainland Division, one point behind the (8-10) Langley Rivermen, seven back of the (9-5-3-1) Chilliwack Chiefs and nine behind the (12-4) Coquitlam Express.

The (8-2-1) Edmonton Oilers will look to remain undefeated at home when they play host to the (4-2-4) Florida Panthers at 1:00 p.m. PT.
The (4-6-1) San Jose Sharks will travel to Ottawa to faceoff against the (2-7-1) Senators at 4:00 p.m. PT.

Canada West Soccer: (UNBC Timberwolves)
The season is over for the UNBC Timberwolves women’s soccer team.
The Timberwolves lost 2-1 on Friday to the Manitoba Bisons in a Canada West play-in game in Calgary.
The Bisons advance to play the host (10-1-3) Calgary Dinos in the quarterfinals today.
The Timberwolves ended their season with an overall record of 3-8-4.

Brett Lauther nailed a 43-yard field goal with time expired as the Riders won their second game in a row, and fourth out of the last five, with a victory over the Eskimos.
