WHL: (PG Cougars)

The Prince George Cougars will try to snap a seven-game losing skid when they host the Edmonton Oil Kings tonight.

The (4-15-0-2) Cougars have not scored in 177 minutes and two seconds (nearly three games).

Prince George has slipped 11 points out of the last Western Conference playoff spot, which is held by Victoria, and the (10-7-1) Royals have three games in hand.

The (13-4-3-2) Oil Kings, who are tied with the (14-6-0-3) Lethbridge Hurricanes for first in the Central Division, have lost their last three and five of six.

Edmonton is just starting a five-game BC Division road trip.

PG will also entertain the (14-7) Kamloops Blazers on Friday and Saturday.

BCHL: (PG Spruce Kings)

The Prince George Spruce Kings visit the (12-9-0-2) Alberni Valley Bulldogs tonight as they begin a five-game road trip.

PG will also play at (18-6-1-1) Nanaimo Wednesday, (6-15-1) Merritt Friday, (11-10-3-1) Wenatchee Monday and (20-5-1) Penticton on Wednesday, Nov. 27th.

The (9-12-2-3) Spruce Kings are tied with the (11-13-0-1) Langley Rivermen for third in the BCHL Mainland Division, three points in front of the last place (8-14-1-3) Surrey Eagles.

BC Major Midget League:
(Cariboo Cougars)

The Cariboo Cougars play this weekend in Nanaimo against the (4-10-2) North Island Silvertips Saturday (4:45 p.m.) and Sunday (8:00 a.m.).

The (11-4-0-1) Major Midget Cougars are in 4th place in the 11-team BCMML, just a point behind the (12-4) Vancouver NE Chiefs and three back of the (13-5) Vancouver NW Hawks.

The (10-7-4) Vancouver Canucks play their next six on the road starting tonight (5:30 PT) in Dallas against the (11-8-2) Stars.

Dallas is 8-1-1 in its last 10 games.

Vancouver is third in the Pacific Division, four points behind Arizona and only a point ahead of Vegas and Calgary and two in front of Anaheim.

All seven Canadian NHL teams are in action this evening as part of a 13-game menu.

Defenceman Brandon Manning of Prince George could come off the Edmonton Oilers Injured Reserved list this week.

The Oilers play tonight in San Jose.

The 29-year-old Manning has been dealing with a hand injury.

He was hurt last week (Nov 12th) after getting into a fight with Barclay Goodrow of the Sharks after Connor McDavid took a big hit.

Manning, a former PG Spruce King and Cariboo Cougar, has one point (a goal) and 17 penalty minutes in nine games with the Oilers this season.

The New Jersey Devils placed goalie Cory Schneider on waivers for the purpose of sending him to AHL.

In six games with the Devils this season, Schneider has a 0-4-1 record, 4.59 goals-against average and a .852 save percentage.

Canada West Basketball: (UNBC Timberwolves)

The UNBC Timberwolves will play their final Canada West basketball games until the new year this weekend in Kamloops.

The Timberwolves take to the court against the TRU WolfPack Friday and Saturday.

UNBC is 3-3 in the men’s standings and 2-4 in the women’s division.

TRU is 5-1 (men) and 4-2 (women).

NBA:

The (9-4) Raptors host the (6-7) Orlando Magic Wednesday (4:30 PT).

NFL: (Final game in week 11)

(in Mexico City)

Kansas City Chiefs  24  LA Chargers  17

Chargers QB Philip Rivers, who turns 38 in December, threw four interceptions to match his career high.

Rivers, in the final year of his contract, has been picked off seven times in the last two games.

The (7-4) Chiefs lead the AFC West by 1/2 a game over the (6-4) Oakland Raiders.

The (4-7) Chargers are three games off the pace.

CFL: 

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have not won the Grey Cup in 20 years (since 1999).

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have not won the Grey Cup in 29 years (since 1990).

One of these droughts will end on Sunday in the 107th Grey Cup game in Calgary.

Kickoff will be just after 3:00 PT.

Winnipeg last played in a Grey Cup in 2011 when the Bombers lost 34-23 to the host B.C. Lions.

This will be Hamilton’s first Grey Cup appearance since 2014  (a 20-16 loss to Calgary in Vancouver).

The Tiger-Cats finished the regular season with a CFL-best 15-3 record while the Blue Bombers were 11-7.
