The Spruce Kings are 1-1 on a five-game road trip that began with a 4-3 Tuesday victory in Alberni Valley.
The (10-13-2-3) Spruce Kings play at (6-15-1) Merritt Friday, (11-10-3-1) Wenatchee Monday and (21-6-1) Penticton on Wednesday.
Prince George is third in the BCHL Mainland Division, four points behind Chilliwack, two ahead of Langley and three in front of last place Surrey.

The Prince George Cougars host the Kamloops Blazers Friday and Saturday.
The (15-7) Blazers are coming off a 10-1 Wednesday night home victory over the Seattle Thunderbirds.
Kamloops leads the BC Division by six points over Kelowna and Vancouver.
The (4-16-0-2) Cougars have lost their last seven home games at CN Centre and their last eight games overall.
Prince George is 11 points out of the last Western Conference wild-card playoff spot, which is held by Victoria, and the (10-8-1) Royals have three games in hand.

BC Major Midget League: (Cariboo Cougars)
The Cariboo Cougars play the (4-10-2) North Island Silvertips Saturday (4:45 p.m.) and Sunday (8:00 a.m.) in Nanaimo.
The (11-4-0-1) Major Midget Cougars are in 4th place in the 11-team BCMML, just a point behind the (12-4) Vancouver NE Chiefs and three back of the (13-5) Vancouver NW Hawks.

Sheldon Keefe will make his head-coaching debut tonight with the Toronto Maple Leafs in a road game at Arizona.
The 39-year-old Keefe was promoted after coaching the Leafs AHL farm team, the Toronto Marlies.
He takes over from Mike Babcock who was fired Wednesday after the team began the season with a 9-10-4 record, including losses in their last six games.
The 56-year-old Babcock leaves with three-plus years left on a record-breaking eight-year $50-million contract he signed in May, 2015.

Forward Bobby Ryan of the Ottawa Senators is entering the NHL/National Hockey League Players’ Association assistance program.
He will be away from the team on an indefinite basis.
The 32-year-old Ryan is the highest-paid player on the Senators at over $7 per season.
He has one goal and three assists in 16 games this season.

Canada West Basketball: (UNBC Timberwolves)
The UNBC Timberwolves will play their final Canada West basketball games until the new year this weekend in Kamloops.
The Timberwolves take to the court against the TRU WolfPack Friday and Saturday.
UNBC is 3-3 in the men’s standings and 2-4 in the women’s division.
TRU is 5-1 (men) and 4-2 (women).

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are 3.5-point favourites to win Sunday’s 107th Grey Cup game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in Calgary. Kickoff is just after 3 p.m. PT.
One of the teams will end a long drought.
The Ti-Cats have not won the Grey Cup since 1999 (a span of 20 years) and the Blue Bombers have not been champions since 1990 (a total of 29 years).
This will be Hamilton’s first Grey Cup appearance since 2014 (a 20-16 loss to Calgary in Vancouver).
Winnipeg last played in a Grey Cup in 2011 (a 34-23 loss to the host B.C. Lions).
The Tiger-Cats finished the regular season with a CFL-best 15-3 record while the Blue Bombers were 11-7.
